This spectral bat skull has been 3D printed in durable resin at life size, for a terrific small display piece or educational aid. The skull has been thickened slightly to make it durable, and is all a single piece (the jaw is not movable).
The spectral bat is the largest species of New World bat, and the world's largest carnivorous bat (their wingspan can reach almost 3.5 feet!). They prey on a variety of creatures including birds, insects, rodents, and most notably, other species of bat. The skull gives clues to the animal's nature, with large canine teeth and a huge sagittal crest, necessary for the strong jaw muscles a predator needs!
